Vocalist, Songwriter and Artist, Mad Alice, was born Alicen Hensley from Anaconda, Montana. Mad Alice, is a female fronted studio metal project that began in 2010. Alicen studied audio engineering and completed internships at recording studios in Portland to network in the industry. In that time, she met Mad Alice co-writer/co-producer Matt Jefferson. With her lyrics and musickal concepts, and Jefferson's instrumentation/production, they created the five-song EP, entitled Skin.
Skin was tracked in Pellucid Studios, Black Diamond Studios and Interlace Studios and was released on Beltane April 30th, 2014. To build excitement for the EP, Alicen released the Official Musick Video for "Descend" in late 2013 and released a single "Different Breed" on the Spring Equinox 2014.
The musick video for "Skin" was released on the Summer Solstice 2014.
Later 2014,Mad Alice front woman Alicen Hensley met a talented musician, Arnold Hablewitz. He shared a common love for music, and they began writing together. Though they live almost 700 miles apart, they worked through countless emails and phone calls to create In Dreams. To build excitement for the album, the first single Bless the Bitch, was released on June 21st, 2015. The album was released on Halloween 2015.
